Amsterdam, 13 December 2013 - The Russian authorities have told the Arctic 30 that they cannot leave the country, defying the ruling of an international court which ordered that they should be allowed to go home immediately.

Dutch government finalises bank guarantee for release of Arctic 30
Amsterdam, 29 November 2013 - The Dutch Foreign Ministry said today it has finalised a bank guarantee of 3.6 million euros in compliance with a binding ruling by the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) ordering Russia to release the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise and the Arctic 30.

Australian Arctic 30 activist Colin Russell bailed after 71 days detention
Amsterdam, 28 November 2013 – Australian activist Colin Russell has been granted bail today by a St. Petersburg court, the last of the Arctic 30 detainees to be ordered released on bail after a peaceful Arctic oil drilling protest. He has spent 71 days in detention.

UK’s Phil Ball released, 29th Arctic 30 detainee to be freed from prison
Amsterdam, 25 November 2013 - Phil Ball from Oxford in England today became the 29th Arctic 30 detainee to be released from detention in St Petersburg. Only Australian Colin Russell remains behind bars in Russia for his part in a peaceful protest at an Arctic oil platform in September.

Four more Arctic 30 detainees released from Russian prison
Amsterdam, 22 November 2013 – British activist Anthony Perrett and Swiss national Marco Weber, Faiza Oulahsen from the Netherlands and American Peter Willcox were today released from Russian detention, bringing to 15 the number of Arctic 30 members freed on bail by St Petersburg courts.
