The Engagement & Stewardship Intern is responsible for providing administrative and project support to the Development team. Projects involve compiling and submitting data requests to obtain data pulls for our donor mailings, database cleaning and maintenance of donor files, sending out customized acknowledgments and information packets, proofreading and writing donor engagement copy. Other tasks will include: data entry with donor info in database, spreadsheets maintenance, and maintenance of our Development areas to upkeep of current materials, records and supplies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General Development
- Process incoming checks
- Responsible for file retention containing donor information
- Write acknowledgment letters for mail shop
- Thank you calls to donors
- Thank you note cards to donors
- Monitor incoming mail for special requests
- Assist Donor Engagement & Stewardship Team
- Gather materials (data, letter, inserts, etc.) for in-house mailings
- Data entry for responses from mailings and inquiries
- Updating donor accounts in Team Approach
- File maintenance and purging projects
- Hard copy sample folder maintenance
- Mail merges and data clean-up
- Project support as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:
– Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
– Excellent attention to detail
– Proficiency in Word and Excel
– Experience working with a membership database a plus
– Excellent multi-tasking skills
– Prior experience in a non-profit organization and development/fundraising knowledge a plus
– Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
