Human Resources Recruitment Internship (DC)

The Human Resources Recruitment intern will work closely with our Talent Acquisition Coordinator in reaching its goals through a combination of administrative support and project work.

The mission of the Human Resources (HR) department is to support Greenpeace’s strategic vision and goals by recruiting and retaining diverse, passionate and exceptional team members; providing proactive services that foster a friendly and collaborative work experience; administering policies and benefits that protect both staff and the organization; and promoting a strategic and interactive staff development program to aid staff in reaching their full potential.


Responsibilities may include posting job announcements, scheduling, coordinating interviews, screening viable candidates, and other administrative tasks as necessary. The intern will also help with clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, mail delivery, and covering the reception desk (1 – 2 hours per week). Other potential projects include conducting research and making recommendations to improve existing Human Resource programs,


The ideal candidate will have an interest in human resources and/or recruitment, experience using computer programs including Microsoft Office suite and some data entry or database use, strong written and verbal communication skills, and high attention to detail.
