Seamounts are biodiversity hotspots. They are the underwater hills and mountains home to slow growing corals and sponges that form habitats for marine life. Seamounts are the beating heart of marine life.

Right now, the Government is considering high seas permit applications for the next fishing year, 2022 – 2023. Call on the head of MPI, Ray Smith, to deny permits to New Zealand bottom trawlers for the South Pacific.
