Resilience. Justice. Action.
The year 2022 marked a critical moment for Greenpeace India. In the wake of a global crisis, we stood at a crossroads, compelled to re-examine not just what we do, but how we dream of a more just and resilient climate future. This annual report captures a year of rebuilding, reflection, and reimagination.
In 2022, Greenpeace India stood shoulder to shoulder with communities across the country. Women in low-income neighbourhoods led a cycling revolution through congested cities. Farmers in Bihar turned barren fields into thriving examples of ecological farming. Fisherfolk raised their voices for climate justice along the fragile coastlines of Kerala. At every step, ordinary people became extraordinary changemakers. These are not just stories of campaigns. They are stories of courage, creativity, and an unrelenting commitment to reclaiming our future from the twin crises of inequality and environmental collapse.
Guided by the principles of intersectionality, equity, and environmental justice, our work was powered by people. Volunteers, donors, farmers, students, workers, and coastal communities all came together to amplify unheard voices and demand deep, systemic change.
This report is a testament to what collective action can achieve in the face of adversity. We invite you to reflect, to engage, and to imagine what more we can do together for a just, green, and sustainable tomorrow.
In solidarity
