Our planet is being suffocated by plastic pollution. Plastic waste is clogging landfills, it gets shipped offshore and incinerated in developing countries like Thailand, chokes our waterways, coasts and oceans. Plastic never goes away, it just breaks down into smaller and smaller pieces. It’s in the air we breathe, the food we eat and has even been found in our blood and breast milk.
Single-use plastic bottles are the worst culprits and they can be replaced. Every year in Aotearoa, big corporations like Coca-Cola sell around one billion throwaway plastic bottles.
We’re calling for a ban on single-use plastic bottles in Aotearoa. Will you join us?
