We give this fragile Earth a voice
Greenpeace is independent. We don’t take donations from corporations or governments. We campaign globally for the environment.
Our mission is to ensure Earth’s ability to nurture life in all its diversity. We confront big issues with creativity. We use non-violent action. We seek to bring about systemic change.

Our vision
We believe a billion acts of courage can spark a brighter future. To that end, we try to model courage and share stories of bravery. We invite people out of their comfort zones – to act with us.
A green and peaceful future is our mission. It’s being built today.
Here in Aotearoa, we seek to bring to life a vision of a land and an ocean full of diversity and life. They should be free of pollution and protected, for all to enjoy. Our rivers should be clean again and our food produced in harmony with nature.
We want our homes, Marae, schools, businesses, and transport powered by renewable energy. And our towns, cities, and transport designed for people and communities.
We seek to change how food is produced on land and at sea. We should restore and regenerate nature, instead of polluting and depleting it. We are working to bring the fishing industry into line. It threatens precious marine life.
We also strive for a new circular economy. We want to end the throwaway culture by replacing single-use packaging with refill and reuse systems. We will not tolerate industries that rely on single-use plastics.
