Greenpeace India condemns any form of violence and is deeply pained and outraged over the delay and disruption of justice in both these cases.
“There are several women and children who bear the brunt of a cruel, communal, misogynistic society. We stand in solidarity with the victims and their families of Kathua and Unnao, and countless others like them who remain invisible and voiceless. We wholeheartedly support anyone, who is fighting for justice for the two girls, and register our strong outrage against all efforts by vested interests to suppress investigations, ” says Diya Deb, Campaign Director, Greenpeace India .
Greenpeace India demands that the authorities fastrack the investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice. It is a crime to stay silent, when the country is fighting a battle to retain its democratic fabric and the ones victimised are weak and vulnerable.
