What we say

The science is clear: we have already found more oil than we can afford to burn. But the Norwegian government is still opening up a new oil frontier in the Arctic. Two years ago we took them to court. We said that drilling for more oil violates part of the national constitution, which says “The state shall protect the rights of future generations to a safe and healthy environment.”

What they say

The Norwegian government claims that they are not responsible for the emission from the oil they drill, because they’re not burning it. It just happens that Norway is the seventh largest exporter of climate-wrecking emissions on the planet.
