Global fires are getting worse

From Australia to Russia to the United States, mega-fires, sparked by human activity and the climate crisis, cause immeasurable damage.

Smoke and haze travel hundreds of kilometers and cover Indigenous territories, local communities, and urban centers alike, damaging human health and aggravating respiratory illnesses.

In places like Brazil and Indonesia, precious rainforests are cut down and burned to make room for cattle, soy, and palm oil production for giant corporations.

We need unprecedented action

We must demand that corporations and governments end the use of fossil fuels to halt the global heating that fuels wildfires. We must transition to a green and just recovery powered by clean energy.

We must protect and restore ecosystems that are more resilient to fires and stop once and for all the use of fires to clear land for commodity-driven agriculture that destroys our planet for corporate greed.
