Facilities Internship (DC)

The Washington D.C. and San Francisco Facilities team is dedicated to creating a space for all employees to work and thrive under the principles of Greenpeace, which include environmental and social justice. The Facilities Assistant Intern works with our Facilities Director, Facilities Assistant and Receptionist in either location to coordinate building management and facilities related issues, as well as vendor relations and hospitality.

This internship is a great opportunity for someone looking to break into non-profit administration or office management.


  • Receptionist duties, including signing for packages and delivering them staff, admitting and welcoming visitors, keeping the front desk area clean, and answering incoming phone calls
  • Office up-keep, including tidying and monitoring the many conference rooms, printers, 2 mail rooms and 3 kitchens.
  • Help with errands outside of the office as necessary
  • Other various administrative tasks
