Greenpeace USA Recognizes the Right of Workers to Unionize

Washington D.C. August 17, 2020 -- Today, Greenpeace USA staff announced its intention to unionize with the Progressive Workers Union. 

Anne Leonard, Greenpeace USA Executive Director, said:

“Greenpeace USA recognizes the right of workers to unionize and collectively bargain. We share the goal of advancing justice within and beyond our organization. Initiation of a unionization process at Greenpeace USA marks a momentous day for workers as a whole in expanding union creation and collective bargaining. We look forward to furthering our goal of ensuring Greenpeace USA is an inclusive, fair, and effective place for all employees to work.
