On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, Climate Justice Action, ANV-COP21 and Greenpeace France unfurled a 300-square-meter banner on the Champ-de-Mars in Paris, denouncing 10 years of climate sabotage and showing the faces of Emmanuel Macron, Marine Le Pen, Vincent Bolloré, Patrick Pouyanné, Jeff Bezos and Donald Trump.
These faces symbolize the different political and private forces that are torpedoing the fight against climate change. These politicians, these leaders of polluting companies and these billionaires represent a destructive system that defends the private interests and profits of a few to the detriment of the protection of populations and especially the most vulnerable in the face of the climate emergency.

With the help of activists in London, they delivered a notice to Shell's global headquarters stating that they are taking the company to court for the loss and damages caused by its business.

Shell has known since 1965 about the climate crisis and its own role in worsening it, yet it chose to continue investing in fossil fuels and deceit instead of protecting people and the planet.

Along with the delivery, recordings of voices from the frontlines were played – voices of communities sharing their stories and messages to Shell.

From sinking islands to flood-hit towns, Filipino climate survivors are rising. They’ve had enough of corruption in climate funds at home and the greed of big polluters globally. They’re standing up to make corporations like Shell pay.

Cook Island activists peacefully confront the Nautilus at Rarotonga port, holding banners reading ‘Don’t Mine The Moana’ as it returns from a 21-day deep sea exploration expedition visiting sites in the mineral exploration areas licensed by the Cook Islands authorities, who are consistently supporting the development of deep sea mining.

The research being conducted on the Nautilus is funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Ocean Exploration Cooperation Institute. and comes just six months after President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order tasking NOAA to fast track the licensing process for deep sea mining.
