Fire Drill Friday

We are living at the last possible moment in human history when we can do something about climate change, or fail to do so, thereby denying hundreds of millions of people a livable future.

This is not hyperbole. This is our call to action.

Fire Drill Friday began in the fall of 2019 when Jane Fonda moved to Washington, D.C. to focus on climate change. She recognized that we are at a tipping point, and decided to be all-in for the climate. As Greta Thunberg said, “This is a crisis. We have to act like our house is on fire, because it is.”

Each Friday, she hosted actions on Capitol Hill, demanding action from political leaders to address the climate emergency we are in. Each week focused on a different aspect of the climate crisis and what needs to be done moving forward. The response has exceeded all of our expectations.

2020 marks a new, exciting phase of Fire Drill Friday that we are proud to join—one that will continue the momentum we have built here in DC. One that will allow people across the country, even the world, to mobilize, create their own movement, and be a part of the climate fight in a way that works for them.

We hope you will join us as we demand action on the climate crisis we are facing.
