Kate Melges is an Oceans Campaigner based in Seattle. She works on Greenpeace’s sustainable seafood campaign.
Kate began working for Greenpeace in 2011 by partnering with elected officials, community groups, and volunteers in Ohio, and later Florida, to advance residential access to renewable energy.
Before joining Greenpeace, Kate studied Cultural and Environmental Anthropology at the University of South Florida. She then went on to work with at-risk youth as an AmeriCorps member and community organizer in New Mexico.
Born and raised in Florida, Kate is committed to protecting our oceans so they can be enjoyed for generations to come.
