Kaitlyn Trent joined Greenpeace as an Oceans Plastics Campaigner for the Plastics Free Future team in the summer of 2021. She’s been with Greenpeace since 2018, joining us as an Engagement Specialist for the Long Beach ship tour stop, and continuing on as an Engagement and Program Evaluation Specialist ever since. Before becoming a staff member, Kaitlyn started her Greenpeace journey has a volunteer campaign for clean energy on her college campus in 2012 and has been involved, one way or another, ever since. Kaitlyn earned her Bachelors’ degree in Environmental Policy and Analysis with a specialization in environmental law and her Masters’ in Public Administration from Bowling Green State University.

Kaitlyn is originally from Ohio and currently resides in Chicago, Illinois on the occupied lands of the Potawatomi, Odawa, Ojibwe, Miami, Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Sac, Fox, Kickapoo, and Illinois Nations.
