We are looking for candidates who are adept at and interested in expanding their abilities in open-ended research that will feed into our campaign strategy and reports. Along the way, interns can expect to learn about global climate and energy issues as well as strategic campaigning.

Responsibilities:

The intern will provide assistance to the IT campaign team on a number of investigations, analyze science and/or corporate reports, and compile and summarize information to be used in our materials. The intern may also be asked to help manage information on websites, write blogs, and/or create maps or diagrams for investigations.

Qualifications:

Most important is a demonstrable interest in learning and developing research and investigative skills in support of our IT sector campaigns. Working independently and taking initiative will be key, and flexibility and a sense of humor are always appreciated. A bachelors or graduate degree would be helpful, but is not required so long as you can demonstrate good writing and basic desktop research skills. Additionally, the ability to read Chinese would be helpful, but is not required.

Candidates should understand and believe in non-violent direct action, and understand Greenpeace’s approach to protecting people and the planet. All people of diverse backgrounds, experience and grassroots activists are strongly encouraged to apply.
