
The Senior Public Engagement Campaigner, will lead the Public Engagement team in Thailand, facilitate the development and oversee implementation of Greenpeace Thailand’ public engagement strategy.
The team’s primary goal is to amplify Greenpeace’s campaigning impact through People Power and Movement Building, both online and offline. The unit strengthens and oversees the country’s non-financial offline supporter journey, collaborates with the Supporter Relationship team, cultivates volunteer leadership and skills, and fosters connections with allied movements. Additionally, the team works closely with other units in the Program Department and coordinates with the Fundraising Department..
As team lead, he/she will manage and deploy your team to support Greenpeace Thailand’s project priorities aligned with the program process. Your responsibility is to ensure program outcomes are achieved by integrating campaign objectives with offline and online People Power initiatives, public engagement strategies, and creative non-violent activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adapt Greenpeace’s People Power, Movement Building strategies and initiatives to deliver and oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of country-level strategies that respond to local contexts and find opportunities at the global level.
- Provide in-depth contextual analysis for the execution of national strategies for the Public Engagement framework.
- Oversee the regular monitoring and evaluation of engagement strategies, including identifying areas of opportunity and improvement, providing insight, and co-creating and advising on implementation
- Lead, motivate and manage the country Public Engagement team, including the Warehouse and Action Logistic Coordinator, to ensure high quality, strategic people power and movement building in campaigning work and input into country programs and projects.
- Lead the oversight of the design, development and implementation of the public engagement section of the country supporter journey, in collaboration with the programme, communications and fundraising team.
- Ensure close collaboration with the Regional PEA manager, Reg Action Campaigner, international focal points for offline organizing and actions to make sure that the work PE team delivers in Thailand is aligned with the regional and global ambitions and guidelines.
- Strengthen People Power capacities within the national team, focusing on volunteer leadership development and skill-building.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing People Power, Movement Building, and action-led campaigning through the implementation of proven practices, under direction from leadership.
- Ensure the strong collaboration of the Public Engagement Team and staff with other program units as well as with other departments.
- Maintains and builds a reliable network internally to effectively deliver on the country supporter journey across Program and Fundraising.
- Participate in the Regional Public Engagement and Action (PEA) Community of Practice in order to sustain and improve quality and work processes, to innovate and to stay abreast of new developments.
- Maintain and build relationships with regional and international Greenpeace communities, ensuring local delivery of globally aligned initiatives.
- Collaborate with supporters and allied movements and local partners to achieve campaign objectives.
- Plans and manages the delivery of national Public Engagement objectives and tasks in the context of evolving calendars and agendas, while incorporating new lessons learnt and optimizing policies and procedures, seeking to amplify and improve the team’s impact.
- Provide coaching and guidance to the Public Engagement team in executing strategies defined by national leadership.
- Ensure the quality of program delivery through monitoring and evaluation against agreed metrics and objectives.
- Guide the team in implementing best practices in project delivery while adhering to national policies and compliance requirements.
- Lead the Thailand PE Team to create and maintain structures to organize volunteer groups and implement, evaluate and adjust these structures according to the key learning.
- Lead the Thailand PE Team in delivering high quality, low and/or no risk public facing events in line with the campaign and engagement strategies co created by the programme team.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience, preferably involving Management, Communications, Community Development, or Social Sciences (or related work experience)
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in civil society, including volunteer coordination or collaboration with allies and communities
