The Climate and Energy Project Officer supports Greenpeace Thailand’s Climate and Energy campaign and Fossil Gas issue-related initiatives, at the national, regional and global levels.

The role focuses on issues related to impacted communities, climate justice, renewable energy and other key areas of Climate and Energy work.

The position plays a central role in coordinating and monitoring project activities with researchers, local communities, and partners to ensure smooth implementation.

Responsibilities include providing day-to-day project support, assisting with logistics and reporting, supporting Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) activities, communicating project findings effectively, and helping deliver key events and engagements with impact.

This is a fixed-term position based in Bangkok, Thailand.

  • This role supports the development and implementation of Climate and Energy projects
  • Execute the project activities and research in collaboration with researchers, government agencies, local communities, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct the planning, logistics, and implementation of community meetings, workshops, investigations, and public engagement events.
  • Support the development and implementation of project work plans, reporting, and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities.
  • Inform and contribute to internal coordination meetings and project documentation.
  • Consolidate and share essential information across the Campaign Department, Greenpeace Southeast Asia Climate & Energy team, and Greenpeace International units/departments.
  • Work closely with the Campaigns team and Public Engagement team. Also provide support to the Digital and Communications team and Fundraising team in Greenpeace Thailand and across Greenpeace Southeast Asia Offices.
  • Act as a liaison between the project team and communities, researchers, and partners, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Coordinate the research and data collection on Climate & Energy and other relevant research.
  • Admin guideline and support for team implementation.
  • Ensure timely delivery and dissemination of project findings in accessible and engaging formats.
  • Monitor and report project timelines and ensure milestones are met.
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for the campaigns and implement progress reviews and end-point evaluations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies, Climate and Energy studies,  Development Studies, Public Administration or related fields.
  • At least one year of demonstrated experience in coordinating projects, providing logistical and administrative support, and supporting monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Proven campaigning experience focusing on operational execution, coordination, and process management.
  • Planning & Execution (Basic): Proven ability to plan own work, prioritize tasks, and manage small projects to completion.

  • Knowledge of energy, climate change, and environmental issues.
